Mouse anti human Annexin - A5 Antibody (cat. no. M700)

Specificity
The Annexin-A5 Monoclonal Antibody is specific for human Annexin-A5. It shows no crossreaction with Annexins I, II, III, IV, VI, VII and VIII in ELISA. It exhibits species specificity, it does not recognise monkey and rat Annexin-A5 in ELISA.

Immunogen source
recombinant human Annexin-A5

Immunoglobulin type
Murine IgG1

Use
This antibody can be used for immunoprecipitation of soluble Annexin-A5. It binds to soluble Annexin-A5 and blocks thereby the phospholipid binding property. It is less suitable for Western Blotting. This antibody is suitable for ELISA and immunohistochemistry.

Instructions for use
The antibody is suitable for ELISA in combination with a polyclonal antibody raised against Annexin-A5 in rabbits. It can be applied by immunofluorescence of paraformaldehyde fixed cell samples and by immunohistochemistry of frozen sections and of formaldehyde fixed and paraffin embedded tissue specimen. For immunohistochemistry of the paraffin sections the following treatment of tissue specimen is recommended: sections of 6 mm are cut and adhered to glass slides, that are pre-treated with 2% amino-propyl-tri-ethoxysilan (in 100% ethanol) and 0,2% BSA. The sections are heated for 15 minutes at 100°C in a citrate buffer 10 mM trisodium citrate, pH 6.0. The sections are then further processed by routine procedures.
